New podcasts: Meanwhile, NBC News’ true crime franchise is set to debut a new podcast that looks at the shocking murder of graduate student Denita Smith. Dateline’s Deadline Engagement is a six-part series reported by Mankiewicz on a love triangle gone wrong. The first two episodes will be available for download and streaming across major podcast platforms starting Tuesday, Sept. 16, followed by new episodes Tuesdays and Thursdays during the following two weeks.

Also debuting Sept. 16 is a new limited series true crime podcast from ABC Audio and 20/20. Vanished: What Happened to Vanessa examines the murder of U.S. Army soldier Vanessa Guillén in 2020. Hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quiñones, the limited series will feature exclusive, never-before-heard interview audio from ABC News and 20/20’s original reporting, as well as new updates from Guillén’s family.
